Lexy Garner, a Midlands based dance artist graduated from Coventry University with a First-Class BA (Hons) with an International Enhancement Year and the Cecilia McFarlane Award. 

Lexy's work as company artist for Ascension Dance Company has been wide-ranging, spanning across performance and choreography, project management, workshop delivery and administration. Lexy is the youth ambassador for Coventry & Warwickshire, having established herself as part of the Dance Development Leader's Group (DLG) and working as a support worker for Critical Mass Birmingham2022's Commonwealth Games mass inclusive dance Company. 

Lexy's performance and choreographic credits include Ascension Dance Company, Compton Verney's After Hours, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Flexus Dance Collective and George Saxon. Leadership credits include STUDIO79, Ascension Dance Company, Brewhouse Arts Centre, Fabric Dance & CAT and DLG Critical Mass.

Throughout 2023, Lexy was a mentee of both Alleyne Dance and under AWA Dance, Anna Watkins (Watkins Dance Company), and remains an ambassador for the charity. 

Lexy now embarks on a new freelance journey after four years of industry experience within an organisation and is excited to create spaces for all to enjoy movement with expression, collaboration and integrity!
